The cost of living in Hot Springs, Arkansas is 15.60% lower than the average of the rest of the United States.  When deciding what makes Diamondhead the ideal location, one must view the quality of living and the features that make the private gated, golf course community an affordable location. 

The city of Hot Springs is located in Garland County.  The personal property tax within Garland County is dependent upon the location of the property in conjunction to the school district.  The following school districts and the assessed property value are found within Garland County:

Arkansas homeowners may receive a $350 property tax credit on their homestead.  The market value of property is assessed at 20%, which is roughly about 60 cents per square foot.   

Diamondhead is naturally bounded on all 4 sides (2 sides by Lake Catherine and 2 sides by Lake Catherine State Park). We will never be huge and it’s frankly the reason I chose to live here. Our 3000 acres is all we will ever have and will never become a concrete jungle with 45,000 property owners.
