Beyond the gated entrance, Diamondhead’s community is secured by an on ground Police Department for dispatch of officers and checking in of non-residents of Diamondhead. The Police Department has 5 commissioned officers who all live in Diamondhead. There are recording cameras on entrance and exit gates and a phone alert system that is sent to residents in times of bad weather or other emergency situations. Medical First Responders within the Police Department carry medical supplies and oxygen at all times.
Diamondhead also has on-site fire trucks for faster response and is presently building a new rescue truck for the community area. The Lake Hamilton fire department’s Fire Chief, Matt Simpson, assistant Fire Chief and retired Fire Chief all live in Diamondhead. The fire department also has fire boats on Lake Hamilton and two on Lake Catherine.
Diamondhead is naturally bounded on all 4 sides (2 sides by Lake Catherine and 2 sides by Lake Catherine State Park). We will never be huge and it’s frankly the reason I chose to live here. Our 3000 acres is all we will ever have and will never become a concrete jungle with 45,000 property owners. We will always enjoy the natural beauty- the natural habitat that’s here- it’s extremely important…
