Doug Rye, The King of Caulk & Talk, will be doing his syndicated radio show from Blue Moon Bay on Saturday.2/6. His show is heard at 9 am on over 70 radio stations throughout the nation. Following his designs for energy conservation, Rye has declared the house at 112 Blue Moon Terrace, as the “Most Energy Efficient Home in Arkansas.” The open house begins at 10 am and Doug will be on site to answer your energy questions until about 1 pm. In support of the March of Dimes, he has pledged matching donations received on Saturday up to $1000. (A $5 donation to March of Dimes is requested from each visitor.)
When things start happening, they seem to happen fast. This week the designers chosen as the Arkansas Times Reader’s Choice Award Winners have been putting their considerable talents to work. Laura Bullock has repurposed a Belgian bed as a desk, Larry West chose furnishings from Arkansas Furniture on Albert Pike for the living area, Laurie McFarland furnished a boys room from her shop, Tuck & Cover in Pleasant Ridge on Hwy 10 in Little Rock and the queen of Arkansas designers Tobi Fairley of Tobi Fairley Interior Design has reused furnishings from 3 generations by recovering with organic fabrics and repurposing their use. Tobi will be visiting with Doug Rye about being the cover designer for the March issue of House Beautiful.
All the features and designs of the Energy House will be the focus of the March issue of CUE magazine which is published by Arkansas Times. Locally you can see Diamondhead featured in Life & Home Magazine, also in March.
Hovering around 2000 square feet, the 16 lots of Blue Moon Bay will have homes featuring energy efficiency paired with the features most requested by today’s buyer. In addition to having lawn maintenance and planned internet for the neighborhood, you get to keep your wonderful Diamondhead friends and lifestyle. I’m not sure it can get much better than this.
