Diamondhead Energy Efficient Home Making News!

Diamondhead Resort Community joined forces in March with the March of Dimes to create an energy efficient housing charity experience in the Hot Springs’ gated community.  With as little as $5, one may pay to see the March of Dimes Secure-Energy House and give back to a great cause.  Diamondhead Resort’s Project Manager, Allen Magee, envisioned the idea to enhance the energy efficient practical features and considered the March of Dimes to be a great fit stating, “Hot Springs is full of grandparents and all of a sudden you recognize how precious babies are, when you’ve got some time to spend with them.”

The article highlights our many features encompassed in the eco-friendly designed house: underground geothermal heating and cooling system, the cellulose insulation filled 6-inch exterior walls, the sealed direct-vent gas fireplace, and the FEMA-approved tornado master suite closet. 

Moreover, the host of Home Remedies and an architect specializing in energy efficiency, Doug Rey, forecasts our energy efficient gated community would cost ONLY $1 to cool and heat per day.
